i threw out my mint plant today
don't worry, it's been dead for a while.
haven't posted a Hot New Blog Post in a while! not much to say rn. i am happy to report that a lot of the WORK!!! that i had to complete recently is done, and the stuff that is left to do i am trying to be normal about. i have plans and time management strategies. i am taking breaks and pacing myself.
today i had to clean most of my apartment and boy let me tell you that shit was EXHAUSTING!!! i really really really hate cleaning. if i had to, i would rank my household chores thusly:
- laundry
- dishes
- cleaning
anyway lmfao. it's done now and i'm really proud of myself! every day is a collection of small and often invisible wins. i want to write stuff for my flashpoint retrospectives, but i also don't want to force myself into writing out of sheer obligation. i feel like i keep saying this, but that's not the point of this blog goddammit. i'm finding my fun.
when i went to throw out my mint plant i saw one of my neighbours and we gave each other a brusque awkward half-nod. the sun was surprisingly mild and the bins weren't so full as to make them unwieldy to navigate. on my way back into my apartment i met an older man who was walking his tiny fluffy grey-and-white dog (very clean and friendly, snuffling about and wanting to say hi), and it made me smile.
i hope you see a cool animal you enjoy, and that you are granted a sense of accomplishment and value when you successfully do that scary thing you need to do.
